It’s only early April and 2020 has been quite the whirlwind, to say the least. Amidst all of the chaos, I wanted to share some highlights of my year so far.
- I travelled to Bali, Indonesia. I fell in love with the island and it’s landscapes ranging from the volcanoes to the shorelines. I went parasailing and snorkeling for the first time ever. And I got to reunite with some of my family that I hadn’t seen in over a decade! It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back some day.
- A textbook chapter I had contributed to about 2 years ago is finally about to be published! The experience really helped me develop my scientific writing skills and I look forward to sharing the final product.
- I learned how to make really good truffles. I recently made a batch of red velvet ones and today I’m going to attempt to make some lemon ones. I’ve definitely become more creative and experimental during this lockdown in terms of my cooking/baking.
- I’ve reconnected with some friends that I don’t often talk to. With everything going on, I’ve really learned to appreciate the people in my life and spend more time with those I care about.
